Reliable, long battery life, good use of the back of a rack (but not brilliantly bright; read instructions re settings).
This was the 2nd I've bought. The 1st has already survived a couple of years daily commuting use. Personally I chose to tape over to top crack to increase water resistance a little extra but it should be OK anyway. Not tremendously bright but quite dependable. Normal use is really easy, single press on/off or even easier just leave it on auto. However to understand the settings you do need the instructions. Children did not instantly take in the detail in the instructions regarding the transitions between 8 states (indicates there are two different off states and two different on states, as well as the four operational states). I would have preferred just two states (on constant or off). The 2 x AA batteries give long time between changes. I recommend putting one of these on the back of a rack in addition to a bright back light mounted elsewhere.
