wax derived from olives
Although quite expensive, I bought this because it wasn't made from palm oil, which is usually produced unsustainably. I have not used any other emulsifying wax so cannot compare it with any other product. However it made the cream I wanted to a good consistency, with just a few flakes of wax in it. Perhaps the latter feature was due to not heating sufficiently. Overall quite happy with product apart from cost - but one is always penalised financially for choosing sustainable, environmentally safer products. Why is that? With a co emulsifier like glyceryl stearate a little xanthangum and Cetyl alcohol it makes a stable skin cream for both face and body. A feeling like velvet. Pure luxury.
