Great for the home chef
I've only recently heard about MSG and thought I'd give it a go. I've used it a handful of times now on dishes that I cook semi-regularly and everything tastes so much better with this added. It's often sold in the UK as a "flavour enhancer" and that's exactly what it does. You get so much for the price as well.
