Sturdy, looks great, good quality and keenly priced
We have been wanting an aquarium for almost 20 years, but have never quite got round to buying one, and began at looking at pre-owned ones when we spotted this brand new set up at a really good price. The cabinet was quick and easy to build, with fairly good instructions, and seems to be a very sturdy construction. The tank itself is incredibly robust - really thick glass - and is VERY heavy to the point that there is no way that it could be placed on anything other than it's own cabinet. The supplied lighting and filtration is very good, and you can of course add external filtration or change the lighting if you wish. The pipe holes at the back of the tank for external filtration are a wee bit tight, but you can get the pipes in with a bit of imagination. Despite the thick glass, the view is not obscured and it is crystal clear - the curved corners at the front being a little added bonus. Oh, and unlike many 4ft aquariums, this one is nice and deep which is really going to help keep good separation in a community tank. Yes, there are tanks available that are better quality, but they are easily three or four times the price (and more!), and I would suggest that for the vast majority of people simply looking to get a good quality, new aquarium, this one is ideal. In just over a week, we have managed to get this up and running and to the point where we will be able to add fish in the coming days.
