Good sturdy knife!
I've used this for batoning fire woods and shaving tinders and carving woods. Very good if you Don't want the heavy weight of a hatchet or an axe with you. Although an axe is doing a better job in splitting woods but if you know what you're doing it won't be much of a problem as skill makes up for lack of appropriate gears.
