It is a good, large net with small holes similar to those in the trickle net, it will slow some horses down but it you are really serious about needing to slow your horse down / lose weight it probably isn't going to cut it and you will need to invest in the trickle. If you just need to moderate the speed and you have soaked all the nutrition out of the hay anyway, this net is great, I doubt it will last the 3 years like the other did, but I didn't pay 3 times the price.
