This Series of Books Caputures a Slice of Amercana "Gun Culture" from the 1980-90s. "How-To Manuals" were big, in the era, efore the rise of the internet, and you-toob curture specifically. There were "How-To Maunals" on every subject back then, from Home Remedies, to Remoldeling your House, to Working on Your Car. This Book is a little Zany, in it's solution to the Bolt Bounce Problem. Where most Modern Rapid Fire/Select Fire Designs would deal with this issue with a Buffer System, or Hammer Retarder (often Called a Rate Reducer), the Author of this book Redesigns the Entire Fire Control System to be Open Bolt, with a Rotating Hammer to Retard Bolt Bounce. While overly Complicated, it is Pretty Clever, and this book is a fun read, just from the Mechanical Design standpoint.
