    Works Great, But . . .

The biggest problem is the design of how it holds on to the collar. Mine has come off and of course my dog has chewed on it and broke off a prong. The beeper and vibrator still works on it and using that until my new one arrives. I have used a pull strap on it and it seems to work. This new one I thinking of punching holes for the prongs to fit through and supper glue it to the bottom, then use pull straps on each side and in the middle. So far the pull straps are working. Other then that, the product is great.

    Doesn't help

I'm very impressed with the charged battery life of both the colars and the remote. However, at the maximum voltage the dogs do not even flinch or act like anything's going on. I have tried it on my own leg. It doesn't feel like anything more than a low voltage muscle stimulator used by physical therapist. Nothing bothers them, the vibration, noise or the "shock". Previously we used a Motorola brand that worked well but had only hours of battery life. I wish I could combine the two.

  • Great For Dog Training On A Budget

At first I was a bit skeptical. I wanted to get a collar where there was multiple settings and options, not just a button to shock my poor stubborn pup on one setting. I found this one and saw that it advertised shock, vibration, sound, and was rechargeable. Not only that, but it also had multiple levels. It was the only one I could find like that under $100, so I bought one and hoped for the best. Am I glad I did! My dog would never come when called. When you called him, he would immediately sit down and just stare at you until you tried to go get him, in which case he would run at full speed the opposite direction. He refused to come and his training wasn't progressing. This collar did just the trick. It has 100 settings, but I've never had to go higher than 3-5. But now I rarely use the shock and just use the vibrate or sound mode to get my dog's attention. I don't use it 24/7, but now even after taking the collar off my dog will sit and stare for a moment, but then will come charging back at full speed. It's beautiful, and I hope to continue using the collar as a supplement to training. WARNING: I tried the shock on my arm at levels 1-6. At level 6 it got to the point where my whole body jolted and left my skin tingling for a couple of minutes. Unless you're looking to defibrillate your canine companion, I advise starting at level 1 and working your way up to the minimum level that will get your dog's attention.

  • Good collar bang for your buck

The collar works well with good durability so far. Mine has gotten wet in the rain and continues to function with the vibrating, tone and shock modes. Also it has lots of levels of shock to adjust for size of your dog. Downside to this collar is battery life lasts only about a day.

  • Great for the price. Gets the job done.

Budget friendly training collar that works great and is easy to use. Has multiple correction options for your pet. The rechargeable battery is a nice feature. I have only used the audible beep for my dog, and so far that has stopped her from barking. I did however try the static shock on my hand at the middle setting and it definitely has a punch. Would not want to try it on the highest setting. Very satisfied with my product. Would definitely recommend.

  • Works great

I would have given it a 5 but the day i got it the shock unit kept falling off the collar it came with, I had to attach it to my dogs collar. This is perfect for those dog owners who don't like the idea of a shock collar but feel like they don't have any other option, I use the whistle and vibration modes the most, the only time I had to use the shock mode was when my dog got out of the fenced yard and took off and wouldn't come back, otherwise she listens so much better now.

  • Meh...it's okay, I guess.

Look, I guess for the price, it isn't too bad. But it "feels" cheap. It is thin, lightweight plastic. It seems to work okay. One complaint, however, is that the charging port for the collar receiver lies underneath the nylon collar. You actually have to remove the collar from the receiver anytime you need to charge it. A charge generally lasts for several days, but it is still a big inconvenience as it doesn't come off/on very easily. Also, this won't be your everyday, walk-the-dog collar. If you attach a leash to it, the clip and the leash link are both thin plastic and will easily break. You'll need to switch back and forth between this collar and a better nylon/metal collar for that.

  • Oxford Dog Collar

Works best if it's on the dog! I'm used to letting my dogs out without collars. I'm having a little trouble being consistent about putting the collar on. I think it best if one works with the dog and the collar (when it's on the dog) for short intervals like it recommends in the instructions. When I DO put it on, and work with my dog it's very effective. I just need to be more consistent!

  • great training aid

I've never had to use the actual shock mode on this. My dog gets the picture with the vibrate mode. If she is really being stubborn and I need to get her attention to stop, that's the only time I use shock, but can dial up the power on vibrate as well and it gets the job done as well. There's even a sound mode.

  • Think twice!

Ive been debating over getting a shock collar for a few months now. Ive always been against them, UNTIL, i received a HARD HARD HEADED BULLDOG. Never used one before so i was pretty nervous about using it on my dog. (Even though i do believe she's Satin's spawn) The sound or vibration didnt even phase her. So, i decided after having it a couple of weeks to use the shock setting. OMG!!! you would of thought i killed her. She bow wowd like it was the absolute worst thing in this world!!! (On the lowest setting.) I just dont know about this. Im not out to torture my dog. It had me so upset. Its now off of her. It does all that it says, but just dont think i can do it again to her. Just so you know, i had it on lowest setting possible, & i DID test it on myself a few times on different levels. It did not hurt at all. Not in the least. I also, have had her tried to be trained by myself, & three different trainers too before purchasing this. I got her from another person who could not handle her. Ive had her for a little over a year. Shes two n half now. I'm at the end of my rope! Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!!
