Nice trike for the price.
Pros.: Solid construction. Easy to assemble. (except for a few parts that might require a second set of hands.) Good price for an entry level adult trike. Very stable. Large basket behind rider and out of the way. Cons: Instructions are typical Chinese garbage. They need to hire actual native English speakers to write their manuals! Some parts such as the knock off shifter assemblies are cheaply made and I had to replace the rear shift assembly with a real Shimano before I could get it to hold registration. Mine is destined to be electrified and the 26" wheels that come with it are only a bit over 25" and dwarfed by the real 26" wheel that came with my front wheel electric kit. The stock wheels are also 1.75 wide so the 1.95 of the kit is a tight fit. (Especially under the front fender) Some may find it a bit difficult to pedal as the pedals are closer under the seat than most 26" bikes and if the seat is raised high enough to actually pedal without hitting yourself in the chin with your knees, you have to climb to reach the seat. A bit of getting used to for 2 wheel riders who are used to being able to touch the ground with their feet while seated. That and the lack of leaning into turns are old habits that must be broken to ride a trike of any type.

Everything worked and is still working. There are a few larger hills headed to town that i would normally have to walk up on my bike, but with the ebike and some pedaling i can make it im not a small person either 250lbs using SLA's battery's. It carries me just fine even the extra SLA weight 3x 12v 12ah batterys about 25lbs. I'm thinking about getting a larger motor only cause i want to carry my kids around hooked in a trailer i dont need more speed this one is pretty fast i just want more power to push up the hills with the extra weight I'll be carrying, I've really enjoyed biking again since i got this kit. I really want to switch to Lithium battery's just haven't wanted to drop $500-$1000 for them. I wasn't sure how much i would be into riding again, but i wish i had just gone with the lithium to begin with. I had thought about getting a gas powered bike kit, but decided that the noise and the fumes since my goal was to carry my kids around, take them to the park (4-5 miles) or where ever.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

First Week Impressions (Updated)
With so many possible choices in wattage, battery configurations and of course, front drive, rear drive or line-drive, I opted for this Voilamart 500 Watt Front Wheel drive 36 volt with a 15.4 Ah battery. Power, cost and intended purpose were my decision points. Installation was relatively simple, I had some engineering challenges on fitting the front tire, but I suspect every front fork is a little different and may require some custom fitting. For me, I had to add a couple washers to each side, and grind them to fit properly. But not a deal breaker. As to performance, I've gone on two road trips so far, about 20 miles each, mixed peddle assist and throttle. If I want to further Ill have to back off the throttle and pedal more, although I did go about 5 miles, full throttle, at the end of my second outing to test the range. My intended use for this is 12 miles per day commuting on paved trails, with a couple good hills. As to performance, I weigh 310lbs and ride a Specialized road bike, 7 speed. I wouldn't have been able to take the rides I took had I not had this. I was very pleased with speed,l and performance. Traversing average hills required a little peddling, with exertion around 3 on a 10 point scale. I'm looking forward to a long and inexpensive summer commute, I just filled my gas tank up on my truck and it was almost $65.00 dollars. I believe I'll recover the cost of this purchase, and then some. Happy Trails ! :) Second Week Update: ...still pleased with this purchase but something note worthy here. After a few more trips I was starting to wonder if there was something wrong with the battery as it wasn't lasting as long as I had come to believe. After reading through the documentation again, the part about being able to configure the controller to run in 750 Watt mode jumped out at me. I didn't know it was capable of that. So I enabled the two blue jumpers it mentioned and was I surprised! It turned out I was riding in 750 Watt mode all along. The change here was dramatic. The bottom end PAS was now working much smoother, however I lost the top end speed I had before. Recall, I'm in the 300 pound class so my top end is now around 8 mph, it was around 17 mph at 750 Watts. Since I know how to change it back, I may just put a manual switch in of some kind. For work commuting I'll need that speed, and I tested the battery for commuting so that's doable, For cruising however, I like it better in the 500 Watt mode as the battery seems to go forever and I have the power I need to traverse hills when I come upon them. Over 2000 Miles and Still Going Strong!
Got this Spring of 2017, still going great Spring of 2018! It goes about 18 mph at full charge. Really takes the hills out. Still get a great workout, but I save over 15 minutes on a 12 mile commute. I have a HEAVY bike - about 60 lbs, and it works great. I ran it last year on Lead-Acid batteries and I got over 17 hard miles on a charge! Handles rain, cold. Nothing broken after 2000 miles. I live in hilly New England. I do not want to got fast but rather wanted some help on moderate size hills that surround my location. The 36 Volt 500 watt motor has been a good choice. Tire too big for inner tube??
After set up, everything works fine but tire was too large for inner tube+the tube had a small puncture hole in it. Had to switch to my one and only backup tire. Annoying.
