The Sony UVW-100 is an analog style betacam camcorder, used by television studios and photojournalists worldwide. This Sony video recorder is self-inclusive, containing all necessary components in one piece that can be easily carried through difficult conditions or packed in its separately available padded case. The Sony UVW-100 weighs about 16 lbs with all parts assembled. Furthermore, the white balance memory allows the camera to remember two different settings without having to recalibrate it at every use, and the telephoto lens can magnify up to 14x. Because the time/date function makes it easy for the user to set that information, it's always clear when the betacam camcorder recorded the video. Any video images recorded can be immediately viewed in color through the Sony camcorder's viewfinder. All sound is recorded and replayed through the Sony UVW-100 camcorder's built-in audio and microphone system, which includes its own battery as a power supply.
