Centering on the mythology of ancient Rome, Gods & Heroes has players begin by entering the online world and customizing a character's look. Gamers have a choice of six classes -- soldier, priest, rogue, scout, gladiator, and mystic -- and can also enlist a small group of player-controlled minions that follow primary avatars on their travels. Each class comes with two gods who bestow great powers on players who declare their allegiance. Twelve Roman deities, including Jupiter, Mercury, Apollo, and Diana, watch over the heroes of their delegated classes as they venture out into the world and do battle with opposing players and such monsters as Medusa and minotaurs. Experience is earned through over 1,000 missions that can be attempted alone or with groups of fellow gamers, and there is a maximum level of 50 for all characters. There is a specific server for player vs. player combat, however certain areas found on regular game servers are put aside for dueling and tribe vs. tribe combat.<br><br>The "Collector's Edition" includes the full game, a cloth world map, a soundtrack CD featuring in-game music, two free buddy codes, and a variety of in-game items.
