The 2 photos of the building are taken using this lens at 70mm & 210mm with the aperture wide open, and the final photo is of a blank screen to highlight any dust affecting the image, which there doesn't seem to be.

Nikon AF 70-210mm Lens
Gives nice sharp images for a zoom lens. There is some fall off at the 210mm end and some distortion which can be corrected in post editing. Well made with Japanese optics. This is old technology with push / pull zoom and can only be used on digital bodies with a built in motor to autofocus. Mine has uprated autofocus which makes it ideal for action shots. There is no VR so has to be used with a fast shutter speed (higher ISO) to avoid camera shake (or tripod). Having said all this it only cost ££ whereas the modern equivalent is £££. Whilst not the latest from Nikon I find that these earlier lenses feel better made (probably more metal and less plastic) than some modern releases, the optics of this one are fantastic and images seem to be well focused and sharp across the range. Although I generally try to get faster lenses, so far have no problems with this purchase; if there is a down-side then it is that focusing is a little slower and noisier than today's lenses as it uses the camera motor because there is no built in drive.
