Bought this to replace a dead hard drive in a client's laptop. No problems since installation.

Although this isn't the latest technology ultimately its a cheap and reliable hard drive. After having 3 Kingston SSD's die I actually think this will be a better alternative. Although its new the date on the drive is 2012. But I have always found the older Toshiba equipment more reliable. I think some of this was a move of manufacturing from the Philippines to China which has declined some of the reliability over the years. But good little drive and working well.

After using this drive I have found it to be quite fast, but mainly its been very reliable. I would purchase this item again and would also recommend it as a quality replacement at a very reasonable price.
When I bought it I wasn't sure I'd be able to get it to function as an external hard drive for my PS4. But after purchasing a USB 3.0 external housing for it, it works no bother. Which means I can install a few more games onto my PS4 without the hassle of uninstalling any of my other games. Extremely happy with it.
