Wow....Brilliant
This lens looks and feels fantastic, absolute perfection weather sealed professional solid body with a neatly designed hood. The focusing is pin sharp instantly, great lens for any wedding or wildlife photographer. I use this lens on my EM1 and it was made for it as long as you have a grip attached to the camera as well, it just allows that grip needed to support it. It's big
The whole point of micro four thirds cameras is the small size. This lens is big, not far off the size of a Canon 70-200mm f4, but not nearly as heavy. So, what about the good points? It is incredibly sharp, as sharp as a prime lens, if not sharper. The image quality has to be seen to be believed. It has a reasonably fast f2.8 aperture. And the autofocus is incredibly fast - feels on a par with a Canon DSLR, and it has instant manual focus by pulling the focus ring toward you. Did I say it was big and heavy? Great Zoom at a great low price !!
The order arrived as expected in a perfectly safe and protected package. I have tested this zoom taking pictures of flamingos flying, which was wonderful, then made proxi with flowers to verify the bokeh; finally this morning I used the option focus bracketing shooting 200 pictures with a Mitu objective at the end of the zoom, the results are perfect. Your shop is an adress that I will hignly recommend to my friends. A question: should I register the serial Nr on Olympus as I always do with my other Oly gear. An amazing lens
This lens is so amazing. it has such a great feel to it. with any other camera company this lens would be double the price. for the mm range it has. the images look so coloured in this I mean that the colour in the image when you look at it seems to jump out its like the item is real and right in front of you. Best lens since the Nikon 70-200mm f2.8VRii
Ok, no VR on this lens but that is taken care of in the camera's body. This lens is super sharp and the focusing is FAST! I use this on my Panasonic G80 and it is like using the Nikon D3 with the 70-200mm but with extra reach. Great Lens
I just love this lens and images are sharp at both ends of the focal length ranges. I've also invested in a 2 x teleconverter which works perfectly and turns this into a 300mm lens. It's quite a lot heavier than my other lenses, but then that's what I would expect. It's well made and splash proof so you don't have to worry too much about the weather. Second Time Around
This is the second time I’ve bought this lens; it’s a long story. It’s an outstanding lens, fast, bright and sharp and produces beautiful images. The combination of this lens with the 12-40 f2.8 and my E-M1 Mk iii provides a relatively light weight kit that I can easily carry anywhere.
