Quality greenhouse vent opener
I purchased this for a new greenhouse which I recently installed. My old greenhouse was fitted with an opener which I suspect was an import. While it worked well, after a couple of years it started to look old and corroded. I had to replace the operating piston several times as it stopped working despite being removed over the winter months. The quality of this unit looks far more durable and I am expecting it to prove that ‘you do get what you pay for’. Particularly good is the temperature adjustment which is made using a screw mechanism rather than by inserting a split pin in holes along the operating rod of the cheaper imported models.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Disappointing
Having had a Themofor opener in use for over 27 years I thought I would safe buying from the same manufacturer. This product was very disappointing in its construction, flimsy metal arms and plastic mounting plates. Quality product works well
I first bought an automatic vent opener this spring and found it impossible to fit to my brand new greenhouse - it was large and heavy, kept falling off and I gave up and sent it back. Now that the nights are cooler I decided to give it one more try and bought this one. It's much better, still fiddly to fit but once up and running is working well. Perfect Item, Easy To Fit
To be fair, I bough this to replace a very old Thermofor opener that had given up the ghost after around 20 years. So I could see how the original one was fitted and just replaced it with the new one. But the fitting instructions are very clear, both on how to install and adjust the opener for different temperature opening triggers. Great product
At first opening the box I couldn't see how it fitted but as soon as I was in the green house it was obvious , so easy to fit it took seconds and works very well . easy to get replacement but you shoulnt have to if they explain the cold weather problems
brilliant in hot weather but you are better to remove from the greenhouse during the winter months as the wax inside the cylinder tends to leak out and then it doesnt work the following summer.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
