Product Information

This children's adventure yarn stars one of the most famous comic-strip characters in Europe, Tintin, personified in the flesh by Jean-Pierre Talbot. The teenager Tintin and his dog are going to help their friend, Captain Haddock (Charles Wilson) on a special quest. The good but crotchety captain has inherited a ship and he needs to go to Turkey to pick it up and sail it home. Once the trio (including the dog) arrive at their destination, they quickly discover that the ship is far from being ship-shape. And so why is someone trying to assassinate them in order to get their hands on the sea-going craft? Maybe the rickety ship has a secret.

Great Little Movie
One of my favourite movies ever. The characters are engaging, the story is cute. Really a trip back in time. Hellenophiles will appreciate the beautiful cinematography in Athens and the Meteora à la early 1960s. The travels to Istanbul are also a delight. Highly recommended.

The title was very apt to the story
I enjoyed watching the film of Tin-tin. Captain Haddock was his usual self. I cannot find anything bad about the film. It is strange that Tin-tin's arch-enemy Rastapopolous was not in it because he is half-greek and the film was made in Greece. It was good when Tin-tin said "I don't need guns. I find my fist and feet sufficient." Tin-tin is a very brave young man.
