Well, I bought this little phone for my younger brother. After a motorbike accident, his htc Wildfire came out a lot worse that the motorbike or my brother himself!! The telephone is small, easy to carry around and has a decent screen. It might not have the latest Android version, but the camera is better than the one on the more up to date handset. Android 2.3 works fine, easy to use and lets you personalize your phone in any way you want! Plenty of widgets and live screens to download for free from Google Play.... The fact that the phone is so small also means that playing games, surf the internet or watch movies might not be as good as on my Galaxy Note, but hey, if you want a small phone you get a small screen, right? The processor is not that fast either, and it takes a few minutes to power up when you switch it off. But the real problem is that this little phone, even if it is not the latest model, has proved quite popular, and the purchase price is higher than expected. Of course it is still worth it!Read full review
I usually use only Google Nexus Phones to be sure i get the best of the Android OS but when i finally convinced my wife to start using smartphones she only agreed to it if i can find her a small screen device, so even an iPhone couldn't tempt her so i had to settle for the wildfire. the phone itself has a very solid build and can be nifty when used but the ad-ons HTC had installed over the OS not all of them work as good. the phone can be laggy at times and not responsive to the degree it needs frequent restarts. battery life is very good compared to other phones due to the smaller screen size and lower processor speed. my wife loved the phone despite the shortcomings that only I noticed but after few months she started to notice them and we decided that i will get the new Galxy Nexus and she will use my old Nexus S.Read full review
The Wildfire S is a smart, easy to use and clear phone, for the person who wants more from a 'smart' phone, but you don't need a computer degree to work it. It is easy to get started with clear instructions. The 'apps' are an easy way to get quickly to a particular section. The text messages are aesy to send and receive, however a the Qwerty keypad can only be used by either your finger or a stylus, which you have to purchase seperatly. (Not the end of a pens etc.) Apart from this very small problem, I believe that the phone is very practical, and easy to use.

its not to scruffy considering its quite old, it works well and does what I need. If you'd been expecting a modern smartphone experience from this, you would be disappointed. However for tweve quid I was aware of what I was getting and pleased with it as well.
