Using 8 mm videocassette tape, the Sony CCD-SC5 video camcorder has a playback time of two or four hours, depending on if the operator uses the SP or LP mode. Fast-forward and rewind times are efficient with this gray LCD camcorder at an average of 8 minutes. Life saver!
We had a client who needed 8mm tapes converted and this camera came just in time to get the job done before Christmas. Great delivery and the camera and all attachments were clean, like new. Was delighted to see that charger and battery are compatible with other sony cameras we have.

Unit works well for what I wanted it for. Tape transfer.
The player works well. Will be using it for tape transfer only, not for additional recordings. Disappointed in the content. My fault...I should have asked some questions. There was no charger for the battery which was understandably dead. No operators manual. All in all, satisfied with item. NOT satisfied with myself for not checking into it a bit more.
