The 4.3-inch (109.2-mm) touchscreen with bright 480x272-pixel resolution displays graphics with vivid colors. With this Garmin nuvi unit, drivers can find addresses and directions to more than 5 million points of interest and explore the real locations of photos geotagged by other Garmin users. The Garmin nuvi 40 provides 3D map views with turn-by-turn navigation and spoken street names to keep drivers on the right path. The lane assist function guides the driver to the correct lane for an upcoming turn or exit to limit distractions, while speed limit notifications help keep the driver safe and legal on most European and US roads. Users can get started with the Garmin nuvi GPS receiver straight out of the box with preloaded maps, but they can also save up to 1,000 waypoints and favourite locations as they discover new and interesting places. Descent GPS for the price
Garmin GPS are descent performers. Nuvi 40 is a good one with 2 problems 1 - No fee map update available online. Need to pay for the updates 2 - Screen brightness is sufficient but not so great. overall great sat nav, had a few minor issues with it but they could be because we wasnt using it properly rather than the actual sat nav (twice it thought we were in spain not florida. it also brought is a different way each time which could get confusing at times even though we changed the settings to shortest route. this could of been us though as i said and overall having this sat nav was a lot better than having no sat nav at all. on the whole it gave us clear directions, indicated the lane that was needed in enough time and did help us to navigate around floridaVerified purchase: YesCondition: Pre-owned
