Nobody comes out unscathed, but the results of the rebuilding of hearts will make them stronger than ever. Annalisa Daughety has woven a tale that has more charm than a Southern Belle with just as much soul. Barbour Publishers has released a few really impressive starts to this destination series. Stories that feature mature relationships and broken people who come through the fire are some of my favorites. Daughety deftly paints a portrait of what I imagine any real-life couple could face. The struggles, the doubts, the anger and most importantly faith are represented in a way that anyone can relate to whether you are married or not. While this was a bit more on the serious side it is still a story about the joy of true love and there's a wedding, a cute kid and a dog. I enjoyed every minute of it and look forward to more other novels from this author. If you're a fan of the South and weddings this is definitely a book you want to remember to add to your wish list., This book is about marriage that's on the rocks, not from any major event, but from erosion of commitment and lack of communication over time. It's a story that readers can relate to, and a reminder that marriage takes work and dedication.
