I bought this to replace the stock 7200 RPM 160 GB hard drive that came with my ThinkPad T400. The added space is a real bonus, however the difference in speed is a tad noticeable, since this drive is only capable of 5400 RPM. But it is a good trade-off, I think (and it extends slightly the battery life), and in the future I might move this drive to the expansion bay and put a fast SSD as my boot device, to speed things up.
AS far as know the 750 GIG Hard drive is the largest capacity to date for any hard drive for PC or MAC?!? perfect for up-grading you note book / laptop to top of the range could not ask for better
