Current slide {CURRENT_SLIDE} of {TOTAL_SLIDES}- Save on Filters
I have learned from the worrying experience of a brand-new Canon 100-400mm zoom lens which wouldn't autofocus that it isn't worth trying to save money on cheap filters. Any construction errors in the filter will be magnified at every stage of refraction through every element of your lens, and the distance in-between. Therefore your front optic matters, and the results from a cheap filter can be appalling, especially with longer lenses. If you spent all that money on the lens, why spoil it? Treat yourself to a good one! These Hoya filters make the grade.

I had bought cheap filter before and notice that my picture quality is downgrade with the filter. However, I need a filter that can protect my lens from getting scratches so I decided to buy the Hoya HD which is pretty pricey just for a filter itself. After, I received my order and tried on the filter, I notice the image quality isn't so much degraded like the cheap filter that I had tried on. I have trust Hoya from that day on. I have many Hoya filter from Circular Polarizer to ND filter. Hoya are just great glass and I would recommended any amateur or professional to buy it if they want to protect their investment.
This is a direct replacement for a filter on my 24-70/ f 2.8. The last one saved my lens by taking the brunt of a blow when I dropped the camera 8 inches onto the concrete driveway. The filter being softer than the lens , crushed in a controlled manner, thus saving my lens. My hood was on in a reverse manner, so it didn't offer any protection.

Great filter. He showed himself best on Canon ef 24-105 and 16-35. Bought this a few years ago, now again bought a new lens.

I use Hoya filters on all my lenses because why spend big bucks for premium optics only to put a cheap piece of glass in the way of the image? Any high end filter is probably fine but I've never been disappointed with anything from Hoya so I've stuck with using their filters for 40 years. I always keep a UV filter in place to protect the front of the lens only remove it if using another filter instead.

Why you bought it. Needed a foltro UV protection for my 10-24mm lens NIKON - What you like most about it is a multilayer filter that does not distort the image and is very waterproof. - What you dislike about it. I think it could be a little cheaper - Whether or not you would buy the product again Yes, I recommend and buy this filter.
