This phone has great features and is basically as good as the iphone. However, it is quite difficult to use and is not as elegant as the iphone. The apps for this phone are not as good and the phone sometimes freezes. Furthermore, the battery life is quite poor, however this is no different to any other smart phone/iphone. Internet is fast and efficient. Overall, the phone is good and i am happy with my purchase.
I am not going to tell you all about its features like Megapixels or inches - etc. All of that is available everywhere. All we need to know is what makes it special. So the look and weight are only extras - but the inside, the heart of the SE - is a work of art! SE Arc S was designed to make fantastic pictures! And so it does! Plenty of options will satisfy even the most demanding user. The quality of pictures made by SE users should not disappoint - as long as you remember few 'golden rules' - with any camera it is all about steady hand of photographer, enough of light etc. SE Arc S was also created to satisfy those who like to browse the Internet and listen to the music for example while traveling to work/school. I am more than happy to tell you that 1,4GB processor gives you super fast web browsing and the great handsfree with installed music application (there is more music players or or other apps available free on the App Store!) let you listen to the music clearly and nicely even in crowded places like beach, bus. Also - you have a very easy access to Facebook, favourite websites, favourite songs - all in the same time without 'slowdown' - if you know what I mean. SE Arc S is both fast and functional. For a big +++ I would add its easy to operate settings and options. When you use the mobile more often than 'standard user', a big matter is its life time. The standard battery (1500 mAh) lasts pretty long. Personally I tried economical use and the battery lasted me 4 days!! I also tried to use it 'really hard' - listening to the music, FB, web browsing - still satisfy! My little trick now is to set the 'plane mode' before going to bed - it costs me maybe 1% of the battery usage - so the battery lasts me 2-2,5 days (sometimes 3, but this is caused with weak signal where I live, I checked that)! There is an option telling you about battery usage - you can track everything about 'what consumes your battery' (signal, processor, apps, internet browsing, screen and more!). There is much more to say but instead of all long writing I will try to tell you quickly about advantages and disadvantages of being a SE Arc S user: +++ light, nice looking design +++ bettery life +++ great features/options/settings +++ super music player (great speaker + xLoud option! - the name of the option tells you everything!) +++ great web browsing + FB + YouTube +++ fantastic pictures with 8.1 Megapixel camera +++ super fast processor 1,4GB let you 'work and relax' in the same time (checking stuff on the Internet + listening to music, radio or checking status on FB) +++ great signal - even where the signal is naturally weak (far from antennas, which I checked in person) +++ super text (sms) option - 'one finger - one move' to create words, great recognition! +++ screen shot option! +++ clear sound - when talking or listening to music (also thanks to handsfree) --- not cheap, but worth it! --- possibility of making 3D photographs only for 3D TV holders (you can make 3D pictures, but Sony Bravia screen will not let you see the effect on the screen of mobile; however - in the set you get a HDMI cable so you can easy connect SE with your TV) --- as any smartphone (any!) battery will not last the same long as a normal old standard mobile phone, but this is the cost of having access to news, FB all day long, everywhere Personally I will not mention any more (there is nothing to hide, simple: I can not see any more!). The sony xperia arc is the best phone i have owned very nice to use looks amazing in white. The menue's on the phone are very easy to use you can also turn off your background data so it is not using data without you knowing .There are plenty of great apps for this phone now to many to list . The sound and screen are amazing camera is spot on with zoom and crop etc overall 9 out of 10 for this phone i'm in no rush at all to upgrade as the next model will have to offer alot more than fancy screen savers and menues
