Easy to fit
Thought I'd better check on YouTube to see if I could fit it myself. It's so easy and helps that the part is a perfect fit. Took me about ten minutes to fit, when I had the old part out I put it next to the new one and apart from it looking clean it was exactly the same! Cured the the problem of the heater fan only working on the low or high settings.

Works as advertised
This component, actually a tapped wire-wound resistor, seems identical to the original. Once fitted-which, on a Mk4 Mondeo is a bit of a pain-you'll need a T20 Torx bit and a small electric screwdriver, or, as I did, a cordless drill with a 30cm flexible drive.
