It's quiet because it has poor Speeds
If it's not set to rotate it's fairly quiet but this is simply because it has no real Power, set it to rotate and it's very noisy, vibrates through the bedroom ceiling to downstairs and I have a thick 20mm Saxony carpet on an 11mm PU underlay.
