POWER ME UP !
This generator will work great in an emergency situation when electricity is out. I bought a 1.5 Amp charger and am keeping the battery charged for such an occasion. I hvae also contacted an electrician to wire a transfer box that will transfer electricity from the main breaker to the transfer switch consisting of multiple 30 amp and 20 amp breakers. We have a well. So, if there is a fire, resulting in electricity being out, this unit will power my well - being pro-active I can wet down the parameter of our property. It's a CAT, need I say more?
This has to be one of the most well built portable generators on the market. Everything about it is heavy duty and made to be used everyday. I bought it to use for my home in emergency situations and have no doubt that it will be the only generator that I'll ever need. I had it delivered to my job since I have access to a forklift and everyone there was blown away by the quality including people who own several other brands of generators. I love this thing and would definitely recommend to anyone needing a top notch portable generator for home backup or jobsite use. FYI, CAT also has a very nice cover for the generator while it's in storage. portable generator home use.
We had a 9500 watt generator during the hurricane last year. It failed 2 hours after starting it. Had to buy 2 6000 watt generators, one for the well pump and one for the house. Had to keep shutting the water heater off the put the window a/c back on. This generator is the problem solver. I can run everything except the 4 ton a/c at the same time.
