I had a few wireless door bells, and all of them had issues with the outside button, which stopped working after a year or two because of weak electronics (the batteries were still fine). In this product when you open the button for installation you can see an old style thick microchip and full size elements, which should be way more reliable as opposed to modern semiconductors of millimetre size melted into the board. It also uses 12v battery instead of a 3v as in competitors, which gives a good piece of mind for signal strength. The melodies are not of the best quality, but workable.

The plug through function is not manufactured well enough to work. Couldn’t plug my hoover into it as the holes are too tight to accept the plug. Which is the main you reason you’d want this item. Eventually got a different plugged appliance to go into it, only to find It was such a struggle to remove it caused me to crack the plastic casing. So some plugs won’t fit at all, and others will get stuck if you push it in as hard as I had to.
