Great purchase
Simple, easy and fuss free. Only downside is it takes a while for the rice to cook - no longer than by conventional methods though. I’m used to a pressure cooker so don’t like having to wait! Very little cleaning and consistent quality. Also some interesting flavouring ideas to make rice more interesting. Finally A Single Serving Rice Cooker Compatible With Brown Rice
I am just amazed at how well this cooks a single serving of brown rice. I imported this to Canada and had to purchased a suitable 110V to 220V power adapter for use in my home. It has been worth the expense. Perfect for 1 or 2 adults. I suggest consideration be given to gifting this to the elderly people struggling with what to cook for just 1. Great little single-person rice cooker
I've been looking for a one-person rice cooker for about a decade without success. Finally, a small rice cooker which can cook a single portion. It looks good too, I've ticked 'yes' for durable because there's no 'don't know' option - but obviously I've had it a few weeks so can't coment - but it does seem reasonably robust - not quite as robust as my previous Judge rice cooker but feels like it should last. The lid comes right off which is good for cleaning and the handle makes it easy to move around. It has an on-off switch on the side which prevents accidental operation (which is what killed the Judge cooker). Overall extremely pleased with it. I have seen sort of snack rice cookers coming from China for one person but they don't seem like 'proper' kitchen ones, this one is a pretty robust 'proper' rice cooker.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Plus Its small, lightweight, UK plug, easy to use, perfect for one or two people. Makes cous cous and quinoa also. Easy to unplug and take to table. Can pack in an overnight bag or suitcase and yes use in your hotel room! Easy to clean. Clear instructions. Portion control means no waste! Highly recommend for singles and students. Excellent value. I’ve had so many rice cookers in my lifetime...this one is surprisingly good! Still early stages tho, only used for few weeks! So compact fits in comer of my kitchen worktop without being noticed! All good. Took it out the box have it a rinse and added 1 cup rice and 2 cup water. Cooked in about 15 minuets. Yet to try with brown rice as I don't really easy white rice. I have seen people cook porridge, Currys etc in it but you must leave the lid lose out of because the water will not be absorbed so it will boil over. For rice though seal it up. Perfect rice for two!
I was a little concerned about the quantity of rice this cooker was able to make, but there’s plenty for two. I rinse 2 cups of basmati rice thoroughly, add 2 1/4 cups of water, cook and leave to warm for ten minutes and the rice is perfect- light and fluffy.
