Nice color, no bleeding, good for journaling
I tried this ink in a Peninsula premium Journal, about a five to ten dollar Journal with reasonable quality lined pages of wood free paper. I compared it with several other inks including Parker quink, noodlers red black, noodlers golden brown, and Baystate Blue from noodlers. Interesting Lee enough the Parker black quink and the pelikan brilliant Brown we're the only two inks that did not bleed through the paper. The noodlers golden brown which was lighter in color than the brilliant Brown did bleed through the paper, despite the fact that the nib sizes of both cross fountain pens were the same. The Baystate blue in both a very fine and medium nib bled through as did noodlers Red Brown. I am very happy with the performance of the diamine brilliant Brown, and as of this moment would recommend it for journaling and use on medium quality paper. Obviously on high-quality paper I have used none of these things would have bled through. So I hope that helps
