Lightweight and sturdy
I bought one of these to use like a luggage stand to put heavy boxes on as I was digging through my RV storage for what I was looking for. I liked it well enough that I bought another to use as an ottoman/bivouac stool. The open legs (four feet with caps, as opposed to two feet of bent tubing) makes it a much sturdier support on uneven ground. The fabric is tough and waterproof. The anodized finish should take a lot more abuse than paint. It's very lightweight and folds compactly enough to store easily. I was also able to hook it over my big camera backpack to carry into the woods so my wife could sit down when we reached our destination. On my bag, it stayed securely without being strapped on and rode very well. There are other designs that are lighter and more compact when stowed, but for strength, useful size, ease of setup/break-down, and value, this stool is hard to beat.
