Great all around dish.

You will see 10 inch, 10 1/4 inch and these 9inch pie plates. They are all the same. The extra inch is the size of the rim, the 9 inch is the size of the depression opening for the pie, without the crust on the rim. I use these to cut vegetables, wash grapes and cherries, and to microwave items with a splash of water. I have never broken one, or even scratched one. I have not seen them in stores. 9 inch and 10 1/4 inch are the same pie plate!!!!!!!
9 inch pie plate measures the opening diameter for the pie. Then 10 1/4 inches is the maximum measurement including the rim on each side. I use these in the microwave every day to heat and reheat any foods.
