As long as the antifreeze is changed every 2yrs, it is a fantastic product for the price and is an OAT antifreeze which is Manufacturer recommended
As I had a head gasket go and my car takes 6.8L of mixed coolant including heater matrix, I bought this 5L Concentrate on the basis I will use just 2L of this Concentrate, topped up with de-ionised water to use it as a System Flush.
I will run the car up to temp and drive about 20 miles or so.
This first mix will then be totally drained out, the system will then be flushed out through the top radiator hose disconnected at the thermostat housing end along with the bottom radiator hose disconnected to fully flush the radiator.
I will also flush the cylinder block through the thermostat housing once I've removed the thermostat.
This should hopefully flush the system out from all the impurities from when the head gasket blew and oil having got in the water.
Now that I should have a fully cleansed coolant system and no more of the yucky orangey/rusty looking water, which signifies oil in the water or the antifreeze had broken down from the engine having got so hot from overheating, as it blew the top hose off due to a stuck shut thermostat and a coolant header tank screw cap that didn't work for relieving pressure in the system.
Anyways the leftover 3L of this concentrated antifreeze will go back in the car and topped up with de-ionised water, then subject to no further issues with the coolant system, I will do a full drain down again in 2 years and do the same coolant flush out as mentioned above.
I've been using Premium Red from Carplan on since around 2005. Vehicles were a 600cc four cylinder motorcycle and three petrol and diesel cars, turbo and non-turbo, alloy and iron engine blocks. The mix I use is a 50:50 with distilled water and changed every five years. I can report no problems whatsoever.
