The TOYO Custom-Grip Supercutter Custom Grip with Straight Head. Saddle fits between the thumb and forefinger, allowing the fingers to remain straight, relieving them of strain while scoring. To fit all hand sizes, the saddle is adjustable to four different heights by reversing it and a bushing from the top and bottom.
I needed to cut 16 pieces of glass for picture frames, and started with a cheap (3$) cutter from the local store. After a few bad cuts I got restless, and after 20 of them I gave up and got this Toyo cutter.
Yes it's 15 times the price, but the difference is stunning. One easy score, and the glass practically breaks itself right on the score line.
I can't speak to how long it will last but having done my research I expect it will outlast me with my hobby usage.
The one thing I wish they did was to include instructions for what type of oil to put in it. I used air tool oil, thinking it's light enough, but it won't wick out to the cutter wheel. Maybe next time I use it I'll try to add some mineral spirits to lighten the oil.
