Good for model making
I am sure this is excellent insulation foam but I am using it for making scenery for diaromas. It cuts really well with a craft knife and hot wire. It is quite rigid and it does take roller patterns and indentation but it does require a lot of pressure and it is not easy to get very fine patterns. It is also brittle enough that you can snap it if it is unsupported and you apply pressure. I would happily buy it again and I may buy the 6mm to see if that takes impressions better.

great product, easy to handle and cut. Better quality than other xps I've had. Does mark easier than I'd hoped. knee pads, or a stone on your boot will leave indentations.

Not for heating.
I'm using this as toolbox drawer inserts. A lot cheaper than the pre moulded inserts. All you need is a sharp knife and a pen to cut shape of tools out.
