Better choice
I like this device because the lux and the timer are adjustable AFTER installing the unit. My criticisms ate: The design could be improved. For eg the wires coming out are compressed by the back plate. The wiring diagram could be better. At present it's confusing. It's easy if you understand how current flows. The up arrow on the back plate is in opposite direction to what's written on the backplate! Material quality feels cheap but I am not sure how good this is in terms of longevity.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Ok but with slight issues.
Seems ok but the connecters are very fiddly to use and space for wiring is limited. There is also no earth connector so you cannot earth the appliance you are using, I am aware that low level wattage lights are used but I would have liked an earthing point. Also on mine the indicator for the amount of time for the light to stay on is not quite right. I set it for three hours but it switched off in under two, not a major problem just turned the dial up to suit. I have had it installed for about a month now with no issues. Energizer Dusk till Dawn light switch timer.
Neat and looks tidy. Should be easy to install but only having live and neutral means that it was difficult to incorporate the earth connection. Not impossible, just a little more difficult. Not much room inside to connect the wires, just a little too tight to make it easy, but then it looks neat. Easy to set up the timer function.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Easy to use. Handy you can adjust duration.
Easy to wire up. Easy to vary the timer for how long after dark you want. Simple push connectors inside. Perfect for garden or Christmas lights. The only negative is the little fiddly screw used to hold the cover on. This is the best one I've found if you don't want full dusk till dawn, though it can do that too. Little things let them down
Bought two and they seem to work. Problem 1) one box had sealed packet with rawlplugs and no screws, the other box had the screws but they were too small for the ralwplugs which I tightly fitted into correct size holes and needed to tap them in. Problem 2) cable clamps are rather big for round lighting cable and do not grip the cable tightly, Cable connectors are push-in sprung type and I'll reserve judgement on those until they've been outside for a whileVerified purchase: YesCondition: New

Poor Quality
It is so poorly made. The individual wire apertures are designed for 1mm wire and the push locking mechanisms are useless and wouldn’t lock the wire in place. The clamp for the cable is designed for 3 core 2.5mm cable. So I had to put a filler in to make it clamp. I did get it to work, but I certainly wouldn’t recommend it.
