Delighted with this so far (2 weeks). The detachable bit has already proved useful for my husband (!!) with a messy spillage in the car, and the whole vac is picking up fine in daily sweeps across carper, ceramic tiles, real wood and laminate. I chose this as opposed to one with the motor up near the handle 1) because it is 1/2 the weight 2) stands up when not in use and 3) thought avoiding having weighted end near wrists would be better for arthritic wrists.
