Desperate Times...
Having a 6 month old Doberman puppy, who by nature is gentle & kind & loving, but huge size & over enthusiasm for everything began causing problems I needed a last resort after trying various training, techniques etc. Barking and whining was a HUGE problem, the minute she went out a constant bark or loud piercing whine would start & drive me mad, this was incessant, so after much research & deliberations I decided on this collar. Also playing with my children became a nightmare because although she meant no harm her size & power meant sometimes they’d would be knocked over or hurt through her getting over excited & thinking she too was a child!! I can honestly say I was very sceptical and wary about a collar, but after just a few days with it on, she has become a lot more subdued, obedient & a lot calmer. She still has kangaroo tendencies but one tiny zap on level 2 is all it takes & she is back being focused and she stops the bad behaviour, saving me from shouting, chasing/stressing etc. Just putting on the collar now has the desired effect without even using the shock/vibrate mode. I tried the vibrate to start but due to her size she took little notice, I would not go above a level 2 as I am positive it would cause pain & harm which I am absolutely against, however nipping bad habits in the bud, a quick small shock stops the behaviour that drives you mad & allows you to enjoy being with your dog again. Also helps to control over zealous dogs with young children who can get a bit boisterous without meaning harm, a quick zap & they calm down & keep their distance. I would highly recommend this to anyone struggling with doggy behaviour issues, just one full charge and its lasted me so far over a week which is fantastic, quick delivery & great value for money. Does what it says on the tin but is quite chunky and instructions are confusing
The product does what it says on the description = Good. It is quite bulky and despite the description it will go off at times other than barking, e.g. knocking against something else such as the collar ID tag. This can be managed. Sadly the instructions use English words but do not make English sense. For example turning the device on or off is not straight forward but you can work it out with some trial and error. However, I have still not fully cracked the meaning of the status light flashes and colours. E,g, does slow flashing mean its on or low battery or low citronella?Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

‘Stop Barking’ worked a treat
I have two border terriers who spend all day running down the garden barking at the walkers on the footpath just beyond. It was driving us and our neighbours a hit crazy. The ‘Stop Barking’ collar worked instantly on my older dog. One bark, one spray and she had the message. My younger dog has improved massively but as soon as the citronella runs out or the battery dies she is barking again. This product definitely works, is a kind way of training the dogs and is easy to recharge & refill. My only negative comment would be how big and heavy the units are. The dogs don’t seem to mind but it is quite a chunk around their neck. Good quality rubber collar though, that you cut to size. Overall, I am very pleased.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

good item at reasonable price
Very easy to use and only had to use the shock once and then just the beep for a few days. Our border collie now comes back to us every time we call. I only put the shock on level "1" as I tried it on myself first and I could certainly feel it. I definitely wouldn't put it any higher. I think if used correctly, these collars can correct a lot of problems. SHOCK COLLAR
I bought this collar as a very last resort. After 5 weeks of having a serious problem with our dog trying to attack our new kitten, I'd finely had enough. There's a vibrate setting, I've set it to 50% to start with. So far after 24 hours, I've had no need to change the setting at all. I was absolutely dreading having to shock our dog, thankfully the vibrate is working and I'm feeling amazed at the result. Our dog is a very powerful dog and although great with other dogs, cats are an issue. We got a kitten and were prepared to take a risk, for 5 weeks we kept our dog under total control. We couldn't have stopped this predatory type of instinct without the use of this collar. I was ready to give up as the stress was enormous but using vibrate at just 50% has worked and I'm certain it's quashed the chase/hunt desire.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

A good value kit
I was trying to avoid to use electric collar on my dog but after few accidents I've decided to try it. My dog has a food obsession disorder. She would hunt and kill any animal and then happily eat it nice and raw. She's a retriever labrador. I muzzle her when going out as we live in the countryside and she would ALWAYS catch a bunny. The collar has 1-100 levels. I tried to use on me 1 and it's a quite a little shock, wouldn't go any higher on me! I think it works for some occasions on my dog, but if she since something and goes for it, there is no stopping her. I used even 100 and all she did is shaken in off and carried on. Now I think this is not due to a bad product, but because my dog is just insane and there's no help. I tried to use 10 on my other dog who is barking a lot on everything and anything and he yelpt and stopped. So I guess it comes down to what issues you are trying to get rid off. It is a good product, but I won't use it anymore as I only got it to try and fix the food obsession. It didn't help. Other issues like barking or disobedience I think it's little bit step too far. There are other methods than to use electric shock on your dogs. The vibration and beeping is ok, but works only couple tomes than they ignore it. Works but with drawbacks ....
Well, this collar works but has some drawbacks. I have two dogs but only one barks. Every time my dog barked and it squirted citronella, my other dog was so terrified that she managed to escape the garden twice to get away from him! She was so scared she started hiding in corners, even after I took the collar off the other dog. It's not worth the upset and it's now taken her a week to realise the collar has gone and get back to normal :-( Saying that, if you only have the one dog and they're not easily distressed, then this product is probably the right way forward. It's quite chunky but fits nicely on a medium/large dog with adaptable collar. Perfect dog training tool. Works a treat only a small patterdale terrier so max i use is 3 on it and stops barking and bad behaviour

Bark Stop Collar
This is a great product and showed results straight away. We have a 2 year old Shih Poo that barks at people and other dogs passing our house. In some cases he goes ballistic at certain dogs. He's a good dog but we were losing patience with his barking especially as I work constant nightshift. When my wife goes out and leaves him indoors with me whilst I'm sleeping (from the previous nights nightshift) his barking was causing me to lose sleep. We tried an Ultrasonic remote device but he got used to it within a couple of days! We had read various good reviews of Citronella Anti-bark collars and decided to try one. We've been using this one for a few weeks now and would highly recommend it. It has been well worth the money and comes with a Citronella refill. Sometimes works, sometimes doesn't. Good quality and price.
My dog is a very determined barker. I've recommended this product because I think this is a great value example of a citronella collar and appears well made. I have found it difficult to get the adjustment right. When it is on right and working, it is very effective. One bark and then silence. Sometimes it can be too sensitive (too tight), in which case it goes off too often such as with a shake of the head or a big swallow. The dog then gets used to the repeated sprays and he barks despite being sprayed. When it's insensitive (too loose), then it doesn't soray so he's happy to bark. We are currently using it mostly as a deterrent. On the dog but not turned on. This is effective as long as there is not too great a temptation for him to bark, such as a knock on the door. I have had to resort to buying a muzzle that will literally hold his mouth shut for when we are out. The collar was the most effective thing we have tried, but our determined dog has not stopped barking yet.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
