Excellent quality, fantastic value
Firstly, let me say I am a huge fan of Reolink cameras, and here is why... I use Cctv cameras to watch wildlife in my garden and have a number set up around my property. Initially I used £25 budget cameras which I got from ebay and whilst they did the job to an extent they were clearly not of great quality and this showed in the fact that they didn't last much more then a year. image quality was also pretty poor and the framerate at night was very low as they struggled to pick up enough light. Having seen Reolink cameras mentioned on a couple of forums I decided to try one of the RLC-410 units - delivery was very quick and s it is powered over ethernet it was just a case of plugging the ethernet cable in and it was found straightaway by my Mac software, Security Spy. Picture quality was a huge leap above what I was used to, as was the build quality, with the unit being very solidly built from aluminium. Reolink do their own software, which works fine on my iMac unlike most, but I prefer SecuritySpy as it is what I am used to. After my success with the 410 units (I bought a few more), I decided to move up a notch and get a PTZ capable camera, so went for this one, and I am so glad I did. This is a beast of a camera, very heavy and solidly built, the PTZ function is very smooth and responsive, it was plug and play just like the 410s I have, and as it is 5MP the image is even clearer, the distance on the IR at night is excellent too. This camera is really excellent quality and whilst it may seem pricey compared to budget models on the market you really do seem to get what you pay for, and I can't imagine far more expensive cameras being any better than this. I cannot fault these cameras in any way, and wouldn't even consider any other make, from ease of installation to faultless operation they really are great. One thing worth mentioning too is that if you buy from Reolink direct, although they quote something like 6 to 8 weeks for delivery, in each case mine have come in 10 days or under.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
