Best choice but limited
I bought a different product which promised more but it didn't work properly and only operated when selecting Autochanger on the COMAND, also it did not operate from the steering wheel. So I returned it and bought this instead. Now the phone operates perfectly, handsfree answering and calling and it's live as soon as the car is opened, very easy to pair. Very easy to use. You do need a pin code to pair with your phone. This appears to be the same one for all units as I just looked it up on the internet. One word of caution, this won't allow you to use any other functions available on your phone through the car's command system. Eg. you can't play Spotify etc. through the car's stereo. To be fair, it didn't claim to be able to do so, but just in case people thought that it was like carplay.
