  • As simple or as complicated as you want.

This is a remarkably simple unit to set up with usually just a couple of fields on the first configuration page needed to be set (APN and any password it needs), yet for true techies, it has countless pages for tweaking the perfect configuration. Physical setup is pretty much just as easy, it comes with its own PoE Injector, whats more it can provide PoE to a access point on its 2nd ethernet port. A nice little 5 led signal strength guage sows you signal strength (more accurate graph on the basic config page). A little hatch gives you access to 2 SIM slots and the network ports. For my scenario I have it connected to a PoE hub, on a VLAN of its own, and and 3 openmesh access points with that VLAN assigned to a seperate SSID, meaning in the fairly frequent event of losing our fiber optic, any device can just jump onto the backup SSID and business as usual. I chose this unit due to advice from an associate who has installed more site to site links than I have had hot dinners, and have not been dissapointed, Indeed the initial unit was for a friend, however I was so impressed I bought myself one immediatly. Ive had it operating at up to 77Mbps downstream on a Scottish Island (about 4 times the low end FTTC land connection we have)
