Good help with heavy awning but needs 2 people. May manage on your own with a light weight or porch awning. Vans with near vertical fronts need awning lifting to top corner before pulley can be effective. Put clamp and cushion as far to RHS of channel as possible.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Helped with the job.
The video makes it look very simple and easy to use by one person. However, our awning is quite heavy (an air one) and there is no way I could feed the awning into the rails and keep the rope taut at the same time by myself. I need two hands to feed the awning into the rail. so, although the quality and value score well for a lightweight awning, I'm not convinced it has helped me much even though my air awning is only a 260.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not as easy as anticipated
The product wasn't as effective as expected. Our awning is 28kg and it did not pull through easily or smoothly. However, it certainly helped. I am sure it would work better with lighter awnings. Very simple and easy to use
We were going to get rid of our all season awning, as we were struggling to pull it up, even with lots of silicone in the rail. Purchasing the pulley has made things so much easier, once we got the lock round the corner of the caravan track, which was a bit fiddly. Does what is expected of it!
This pulls system to pull the awning bead into the awning rail on a caravan has a pulley system to give mechanical advantage, so it is better than its main competitor. Bought this because of arthritis effects my hands a lot. Our van has a side marker road light just below the rail and as we have a very heavy air awning the tubes get stuck on the light so it is still a two person job. Rather than fitting the pad and fixed pulley into the horizontal part of the rail (as per video) i used the vertical section instead and it worked very well.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
