I bought this for my newly acquired caravan. As I have a raised bead around the door I was worried it wouldn't clear it. I was prepared for some adaptations. It was relatively easy to a fix to the 'van. However I hit a substantial sub frame around the door surround, which threw my level out a bit. But none-the-less, the lock was soon fitted and works well. I love the bonus of locking it at night from the inside, makes one feel really secure. I would recommend this lock.

Excellent product but be aware of one manufacturing oversight when fitting. The rubber seal supplied need a small modification. If fitted as supplied when you tighten up the screws the handle becomes very tight and almost impossible to use. The seal needs to be removed and the centre trimmed back to prevent tightening to the moving parts of the lock. Otherwise excellent and very secure.

The inner part of the lock is very small and fitted in the small gap between door frame and wall for the wash room on my autocruise vista did not think I would get a lock to fit but this one did.

These locks are brilliant and add much needed extra security to either a motorhome or caravan. We have 3 of these now, one on the habitation door and 2 on the garage doors of the motorhome. If you can do general DIY you can fit these locks yourself. These locks can be locked when you are inside the van and they hardly need any space at all. All in all a brilliant lock and well recommended to all.
