Spare Wheel Carrier
This is a well made product and very good value for money. My one comment is regarding the length of the threaded sections. My drawbar is 50 mm wide but only 30 mm deep, consequently the threads were too short for the nuts to tighten up to. For me this wasn't a problem to fix as I have the equipment at work to lengthen the threads and the clamp now works perfectly. As I say, this is not a criticism against the product itself, it's just a shame the threads were not made slightly longer in the first place as this would allow the clamp to fit different sized drawbars.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New

Not as practical as it seems
The way in which the instructions direct the fixing of this bracket to a trailer is questionable. Imagine, a dark evening pucture on a busy road or any road; to detatch the wheel from the underside of the trailer is near on impossible without first positioning the jack under the spare wheel to take the weight of the wheel while you attempt to undo the M10 fixing nut with a flat spanner. As you may have already utilised your only jack to raise the trailer, then this feat begs the question. Solution: fit bracket to a side elevation and secure the wheel with a turn wheel nut thus releasing the wheel with ease and lifting off without the need for the jack.

Good product but carry spanners .!
This is little bit of a fiddle to fit so you need ideally a ratchet spanner and an ordinary spanner [ 17 mm ]. A socket might also help .....The threads are necessarily long. I tipped the trailer [Erde 122] over to fit the wheel .You might be advised to do this[or at least tilt the trailer ] if you were to have a puncture because the nut is difficult to get at . Spare wheel bracket.
I will recommend this product but it is a fiddle to get the wheel mounted if you position it as under slung. If you have a jockey wheel happy days as you can side mount the bracket but it is the cheapest option and a "does the job" item hence 3 stars.Verified purchase: YesCondition: New
