    Does the job

Comes with little plastic covers on the hook part to I assume protect the paint on the spring which aren't much cop but the jaws do what they were intended for, compress the spring. The hex head also has a 3/8" drive in it so you can plug your ratchet spanner straight in. Comes in a nice little box too.

    DON’T RISK IT

DANGEROUS! To small. Not enough travel on them. All they want to do is spin and twist off. Claws are way to small. Gave up on them and bought a cheaper set.£9:99. Way better. Job done in minutes without the worry of injury.

  • Right size for most spring compression jobs

Tighter coils may create an issue as the jaws are quite stubby and difficult to get located between the coils. Once located works OK. Works easier if the two compressors are held in a vice, while compressing the spring otherwise everything is movinhg around all the time.

  • Great pair of spring compressors.

These are very good quality, compact and solid. I have used car spring compressor for my bike shocks in the past with quite a bit of hastle so I decided to treat myself to these sealy compressors. So glad I did, I just used them on my Kawasaki Z650 rear shocks and they are great, wish I had bought them years ago. There was no signs of the compressors slipping as I compressed the spring. And with the spring removed from the shock the sealy compressors held the spring very securely. GREAT BUY. Barry

  • Good value

Well made, used them on duo shocks, probably a bit too light for monoshocks ( but haven't tried this.) It is a good idea to make some sort of brace to keep them from sliding around the spring. And give the threaded rod a drop of oil before use.

  • A well priced and effective tool

Well designed made and of good quality materials at the price. A little awkward to use due to the plastic spring protectors being made of a very slippery finish plastic but fine if you work slowly and steadily .

  • Coil spring compressor

Needed a compressor to swap the rear spring on a BMW F700GS. This was the perfect tool, sturdy and well finished and in a neat high quality storage box with spare plasic jaw liners. The tool made easy work of compressing the spring enough to release the retaining circlip. I particularly liked the fact that you can use either a 17mm spenner or a 3/8 hex wrench, and the square steel sides were handy to grip using an adjustable spanner so that the tool wouldn't slip when tightening. Very pleased!!

  • Worked well for my needs

Was a bit worried that they would not be very strong being cheap, but they are solidly made, did not bend or flex and its nice they come in a case for easy storage.

  • Does the job

On the whole it worked well enough to get the job done, no issues with the application just dont expect the little plastic protectors to last the test of time and multiple use
