Stick to brand name

Reliable filtering
I have been using generic filters for some years. They work just as effectively as the branded sort as long as you shake, rinse and soak as instructed before starting to use them. The branded filter that came with my new kettle was very slow, so just because it's branded does not mean there will not be the occasional problem, as can happen with the generics. I always use Brita filters when make cold or hot drinks.
I need to filter all my drinking water because we have very hard water which leaves specks of white in hot drinks, and is heavily chlorinated.
