Don't be stupid read the instructions!

This product will give good results but you must follow the instructions! when it says clean the glass, clean it until it is SQUEEKY CLEEN, I used white vinegar and a cotton cloth. it says give light coats of paint........I used very very LIGHT DUSTINGS with each coat, almost only using the 'overspray' rather than directly spaying on to the glass. I did 5 coats and timed by stop watch one minuet in-between each coat (a few more coat seemed better but this may be due to the very light coats) Wear a GOOD MASK and spray in a warm well ventilated space!!!!!! Don't give up, my first attempt failed and look like dull silver......but I thought Rusolium is a good brand of paint, they wouldn't say it can do something if it didn't work!!! and lastly don't be stupid, you spray this on the back of the glass the mirror effect is when you turn it over!!!!! good luck!

  • Most critical review

    Not what you might expect

When compiling a review, ebay asks if the product is good quality. I have no way of knowing if the paint is good quality without writing another review in a few years time or doing a chemical analysis. All I can say is that the can is quite small and the colour was more silver than mirror finish. I bought it to recover a plastic indicator reflector on a motorcycle that had lost it's lustre. The final finish wouldn't reflect any better than white would. Maybe the paint would have more of a mirror effect on a different sub-surface material. I can't say. So all in all it was quite expensive for a small can of silver paint.

  • Good item, bit tricky to use

This item does create a chrome/mirrored style effect but achieving the mirrored effect is quite tricky (could just be me). The bottle has instructions on the side which are every helpful and accurate. I'd advise small sort bursts of spray when using rather than long busts of back and forth as it can be quite runny but drys fast. I have used this spray on glass jars/bottles for my wedding I've managed to go four small jars and 2 Rankin style pots with this Tin. Overall good product and would buy again

  • Not exactly a high chrome type finish

Unfortunately this is not a high chrome finish as expected, just a normal silver colour that I could have got for less. Disappointed.

  • No exactly easy to apply

Used spray cans and painted for years and never had anything that runs and drips as much as this stuff, several coats later and left with a wave affect through the paint and is more a silver finish so for the price your better to spend your money on mirror foil or even a can of chrome paint as it leaves the same finish instead of a mirror. Got this as seen a video on it and though it looked simple but in 20 years spraying never used any thing like this with undesirable results that needs cleaned off now.bought better paints from poundland

  • Reflective

I needed to remirror the backs of some old glass lamp shades and thought this product might do until I could get it done properly. However, the finished effect is great and so simple to use without even having to remove the shades from the fittings, so I don't think they will now need to sent away after all. I have since tried the spray on different materials, the end result is more than acceptable and in most cases its excellent.

  • Spray carefully and slowly

It is tricky to get the hang of the spray speed and volume - slow and steady to get coverage it can take 3-4 coats. Highly toxic you need to wear a mask and keep everyone away from the space you're spraying in. It took two can to do a 2'x'3 glass.

  • You'll need more than you think

The can says it covers 1.5 sq.m, but that's pretty much two coats if you're lucky. You need 4 or five coats to get a proper covering. The effect is good, you just need more cans than you expect. And it smells really strong!

  • Magic stuff

This is an epic product. I recently broke a super fancy bicycle mirror. This will allow me to replace the glass part instead of getting a whole new mirror

  • Bathroom trims

I used it in the bathroom in between the tiles we have metal trim. We couldn’t get enough to do all so we finished off with silver coloured plastic. This had become patchy white over time so my expectations was high. Covered well, easy to use but not a mirror finish, more like a dull dark grey.
