Great value GPS tracker
I bought this GPS tracker not expecting a great deal however I was pleasantly surprised that not only was it easy to setup and get working but also the fact that it works really well,
It takes a regular sized SIM card that needs to be preloaded with credit, unfortunately there is no way to add credit once the SIM card is in the tracker as there is no keypad or means of texting to top up, you could use the SIM card in your cell phone to add credit and then put it in the tracker unfortunately my phone is locked to my network so I couldn't use the best value SIM card this way, I did find that EE was the simplest SIM card to use but you will have to call them and make sure you are not on a bundle pack because these usually expire after 30 days, if you ask to remove the bundle and just go for an open unlimited Sim these don't have any time restrictions as long as you use it at least once every 6 months, once your SIM is in the tracker and loaded with credit you simply send a text message containing certain characters to the phone number in the tracker and within 20 seconds it will reply giving you coordinates that you can click on and automatically open Google Maps, the accuracy was spot on, I bought mine for my caravan as it can be powered either by USB or 12 volts, the only thing I will say is because I am not using a bundle which expires after 30 days the text messages are not the cheapest and for some reason when you text the tracker to find it's coordinates it uses up two text messages even though the message it sends back to your phone is relatively short but it's a small price to pay to retrieve a stolen vehicle, all in all I think this tracker was well worth the money and so far seems to work really well. It is also incredibly small and could be hidden pretty much anywhere.
