Conservatory Use
My first heater was a dyson hot and cold as I wanted to be able to cool it in the summer. The thermostat and performance was terrible. I decided to go for a refurbished Wärme Designer Electric Wall Heater, which was a hefty £400 cheaper and had good reviews. Being used now for first few days and it's fantastic. I've not wall mounted just yet as I was skeptical about the features, including the link to alexa, it's heating ability and the energy cost. I have a smart meter and can tell you it draws roughly 25-30p am hour but it's only on periodically with eco mode and the weekly schedule. Limited & Very Complex
This product looks great, but it is the most unnecessarily complex thing to program. For example, you can program it on a weekly schedule or just for instant heat, but the way you set the heating type (comfort, eco, frost protection) use different buttons depending on whether it’s on weekly or instant. Also, despite having frost protection down to 5°, the min setting for eco or comfort modes was 15°, so if you need increments below that (I like my shed gym to be about 12-13°) then this won’t cut it. Lastly, in the App for the wifi version, timers could only be activated on the hour - there was no function to specify the minute of the hour you wanted it to turn on / off. Good value at this price, but needs a better user manual.
I think this refurbished product is good value as an electrical heater. I do have a few reservations though. I have found it to be quite difficult to set up and to use with the Internet, as described in the manual. The instructions given, do not match the expected outcome. I found the user manual to be quite brief and clear to read, but with a big but, the expected set up did not match what was described in the user manual.
