These are great for steaks and other foods that require a heavier hand for cutting or slicing. I got these because my precious dinner plates kept having the design in the center of the plate cut into and they are not replaceable. Now, when we are having meats I put meat on the metal plates. They are already covered with knife marks, but it is expected on these plates.
