    Good but flawed

Couldn’t find any other such fishing bags to choose from so can’t be too unkind about it. Pros: very well put together, looks like it will last a while, nice colour scheme, comfy enough straps for a short yomp. Cons: you can’t really fill the rucksack part and put it on your back without removing the backrest as it will push against your neck and head whilst walking. You can remove the canvas backrest but a) it takes up one of your three outer pockets to carry it and b) there’s always the chance you may lose it. The backrest doesn’t really feel as if you’d want to put all your weight on it either, so I’d be inclined to suggest folk go with the same item (cheaper variant) minus the backrest as you’re unlikely to be lolling about in great luxury whichever model you choose!

    Rucksack chair

This rucksack is “adequate plus “. The shoulder straps could do with better padding and the fabric support on the backrest has to be removed in order to fold it up, when there is even a tiny load in the main compartment ( a fact which is not made clear in the ad.) Fortunately this is easy . Otherwise the sack seems to be well made.

  • It's not an age thing!

I bought this as I do a lot of trout fishing from the bank and its great to be able to sit and have a coffee and eat instead of standing all the time. The rucksack has plenty of room for a days fishing gear with room to spare for flask and food. Not sure of the waterproof properties as it has not been tested yet in the wet. I recommend this highly

  • very useful

I bought this to go hiking rather than fishing as I am now in my seventies and need to take a break now and then. It is fairly comfortable to wear for a long time and the metal chair doesn't dig into your back too much. It can be a little fiddly to open the chair if the rucksack is fairly full but otherwise it works well.

  • Handy backpack

Just right to carry all that's needed for a comfortable days fishing . Stroll down the river , pick your spot , and sit comfy and Try your luck. ( or skill) . It's strong, light and easy to carry on your back with both hands free for your rod. Excellent.

  • Perfect partnership of comfort and portability

Very robust well constructed backpack fishing seat with backrest. I use mine for shore fishing it has a very spacious main compartment with two draw strings giving plenty of capacity for all my gear including lunch. Large front pocket holds NGT 23cm terminal tackle box, two large side pockets for 1 ltr flasks. Comfortable seat if sitting astride as bag sits in front. Lightweight and comfortable to carry. Really great piece of kit highly recommended.

  • Great buy.

I am really pleased with this rucksack/ seat. It’s perfect for trundling down to my local lake on my bicycle. My bait and tackle are easily contained in the rucksack. Lots of spare room. There’s even room for a sandwich and drink. The seat is comfy for a days fishing. I really like this addition to my , let’s go fishing at short notice kit.

  • Suitable for the beach

Robust chair suitable for outdoors on all kinds of terrain. Needs a cushion to protect the back of the legs if you are sitting for any length of time.

  • Very Useful And Sturdy

Rather than for fishing I use my rucksack for photography, drawing and a bit of radio DXing. The large capacity main compartment has enough room for all kinds of kit and the three outer pockets will hold smaller items that you need to have at hand. The chair is comfortable and holds my weight and I'm not a small guy. Well worth purchasing whatever your hobby.
